Marianna Gefen is a German National, whose real name is Marianne Guehme. She is an artist, photographer and writer who was born in Italy and raised in France. Guehme attended the Ecole Degree College in Florence, where she earned a degree in Graphic Communication. After this she joined a series of exhibitions in Italy and did some work for Bausch and Lomb in their advertising department. In 1992 she travelled to the United States and worked as an assistant for photographer Bob Keller.
