Maria Digeronimo is a famous personality who gained international popularity due to her books on physical fitness. She was born in Chile and became famous for her weight loss program that focused on being thin with the shortest height. Her books sold like hot cakes and she went on to develop programs for body building, mentoring people who wanted to be slim, and for people who wanted to lose weight and inches. It was obvious from her very public appearances that people wanted to be her partners in weight loss and fitness endeavors. She has been married three times and had 3 children.

She claims that she was born an Italian but as she grew older, she identified herself as totally Hispanic. Her parents told her that she had been born in Peru, which is now Chile and that her birth town was Cusco. However, her real home town is San Ramon, Mexico. Growing up in a native Mexican background, Maria always had an interest in the culture of her home country. She attended college in her hometown of Los Angeles studying dance but didn’t think much about pursuing a career in it because her parents told her that the opportunities in dancing there were limited and that she would have to be a good dancer to get any work at all.

In her book “Reina de la Luz: A Woman’s Guide to Finding Her Own Path”, Maria Digeronimo reveals many of the cultural differences you will encounter in Mexico and the U.S. She was raised in two different nationality’s environments and can clearly say that her personal identity has nothing to do with her physical appearance. In the book, she talks about how her physical attributes don’t matter to people here. This is especially true in the case of women. Instead, what matters to them is how they carry themselves. In terms of a partner, it is clear that she was drawn to a man taller than she is and found the attraction of tall men irresistible. However, her views on nationality are open for everyone to read.
