As an actor Maria Bateman always seems to rise to the challenge. She is currently playing a vital part in the highly-anticipated second half of the Sylvester Stallone directed “Rocky” film. With her many talents including being able to play both male and female roles she has found her way into some interesting and intriguing roles. In this film as Rocky’s love interest Victoria, Maria Bateman finds herself caught between two very different personalities as she tries to get close to Rocky. She does a great job of portraying the duality of this character while also taking the time to reveal just what kind of an average girl she really is on the inside.

Maria is an actor that always seems to rise to the challenge. From playing the title role in the movie “A Christmas Carol”, where she plays the irrepressible Carol Burnett, to playing a young girl who becomes a famous singer with the world-famous Elvis in the much loved “Blue Hawaii”, she has certainly found her way into some interesting and unique roles over the years. She seems to be able to overcome any obstacle put in front of her and certainly displays great acting skills throughout these films. Her ability to play strong characters while still being a loving and loyal friend goes a long way in her success as an actress and as a person as well.

Maria Bateman is one of those rare talents that can do more than play the romantic lead in a movie or the sultry, sexy woman on the beach. She is also a beloved and respected personality in the world of film and television. She has played such strong and beautiful characters as the headstrong cheerleader in the hit sitcom “Friends”, the foul mouthed mother in “Seinfeld” and of course the slightly nervous and slightly confused Russian spy in the brilliant Spy.” The list of her films certainly would continue to grow if you were to consider her lengthy list of TV and film credits. Her many achievements in the acting business are definitely going to stand her in good stead for many years to come.
