Luisa Drr is an extraordinary lawyer, who started her career as a secretary before becoming an accomplished and popular writer and editor. As she has developed both a reputation for being open and friendly with people of different nationalities and ages, she was always in demand for assignments and reading material. Her popularity blossomed when she decided to write and edit a biographical book about her late husband, the famous writer, Mario Puzo. The book, A Woman’s Guide to Criminal Law, made him an international celebrity. But the most significant turning point in Luisa Drr’s career occurred at the moment when she decided to marry and eventually marry, an Italian. It was then that Drr earned an international reputation for her high intelligence, her open mind and her compassion for many of the people of other nationalities and ages.

Drr was born in Tirana, an Italian town on the foothills of the Alps Mountains. She graduated from the University of Rome in 1954 and proceeded to work for the Sociological Research Council of Turin, Italy. During her stay in Italy, Drr joined the Italian Institute for Legal Medicine, specializing in criminal law. There she became acquainted with the work of Luigi Fratelli, a renowned Italian crime reporter. In this capacity, Drr also worked as a translator for the Italian newspaper, La Gaceta. Through this work she also came to know Mario Puzo, who encouraged her to pursue a legal career.

Luisa Drr’s book, A Woman’s Guide to Criminal Law was published in paperback in the United Kingdom in 1986 and remained out of print until 1991. When she returned to the United States, her second book, A Woman’s Guide to Criminal Law was published in bookstores and was promptly successful. Later editions added a biographical chapter on her time in Rome, which gave her even more exposure in her field. Today she is considered one of the world’s top lawyers. Her current book, Age of Infidelity, is a bestseller among divorce attorneys, focusing on issues that many clients face when they are seeking divorce. In addition to being a widely published writer, Drr is also active in charitable activities and is active in humanitarian and social work endeavors throughout the world.
