Ann Marcellino was born in Brooklyn, New York City and was a very famous, talented, and popular singer, actress, model, and singer as well as actress and singer with the National Down Syndrome Society. She had worked hard to get where she is today. Ann’s most famous song “Love Takes You To” made her famous, but unfortunately, it was banned by the US Postal Service due to its similarity to an obscene phone call. Despite this, Ann never lost that passion and drive to keep making records. Throughout her career, she also had a long acting career and continued to work in films and commercials.
Ann has always claimed that her marriage proposal to Richard Simmons was done on a blindfolded basis. The reality is that Richard was not blindfolded, he knew she was married before they ever met, and was actually very excited about the proposal. Ann, on the other hand, never revealed to Richard that she was married nor did she offer him any kind of resistance when he proposed to her. When Ann did accept Richard’s marriage proposal, the timing of their marriage proposal was highly suspicious given that Richard had just proposed to her weeks earlier. Richard was very excited about proposing to Ann because he felt that she was ready for another marriage and that the timing of their proposal fit perfectly with her need to begin a family.
It should be noted that in the book of “Love Takes You to New York,” Ann Marcellino does talk about her height difference and what it meant to her. Richard was only 5′ 2″ and it certainly made no difference to him when he proposed to her. In fact, he said that it made him feel young again and younger than he had been in his previous marriages. I personally do not believe that height difference makes any difference in marriage proposals, but I also realize that many women’s reactions to these proposals can vary widely from woman to woman. It is important to consider the feelings of the people you are trying to get married to before you make any announcements or proposals.
