Elisabeth Batiashvili is an internationally renowned Georgian violinist, most notably a former New York Philharmonic concert violinist-in-residing. A former NY Philharmonic member, she currently is regarded for her “refined elegance, delicate sound and the careful artistic detail of her expression”. Born in Georgia, Lisa moved to England when she was young. She met her husband in England and from there, they later married. She is described by her fans as a “sensitive, generous and romantic” personality.

After her marriage to John Joseph Batiashvadi in the Georgian era, Lisa had many roles in movies and theatre, including stage appearances by Marloine Parent and Lee Strasberg. As a violinist, however, she remained primarily in London, and it was here where she honed her skills. In fact, it was here that she first made a professional career. After retiring from the New York Philharmonic, Lisa pursued a teaching career at the London School of Music (LSM). There, she met and later became partners with Giorgio Albani, who was then a conductor and piano professor. Together they established the studio Melodiscus, which released two films produced by Columbia Pictures: The Age Of Youth and Requiem For A Living.

Nowadays, according to her own description on her own website, Lisa Batiashvili is currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy in music theory, with special emphasis on voice and instrument studies. She has also created her own company, entitled Voice Master International. Her most recent project was a concert violin arrangement with the London Contemporary violin quartet, which was premiered at the Sahelen Theatre in Vienna, during which time it was also presented in several other venues around the world. Her other works include arrangements for chamber music, operas, weddings, jingles and jive readings.
