Last Update – Kilt Socks

If you are thinking of getting a new pair of kilt socks for your tartan kilt, then it is always good to know that there is more to the process than just slapping on some socks and putting them on (trust me, I’ve been there). Before you can get to work, you’ll need to make sure that you have all of the necessary kilt socks for the specific type of kilt that you are putting on. There are a few different types of kilt socks out there, and there are a few different ways to put them on (other than just putting them on by standing up and tying them off at the ankle). Here are a couple things that you need to consider when getting kilt socks:

First, you should always buy a half size larger than you usually do in order to make sure that they aren’t too tight because then they aren’t going to feel too snug on your legs. In addition, the socks need to have about three or four finger widths between your topmost thigh and your knee when you place them on, so that they are slightly bigger than your leg. Because of this, if you have a relatively larger leg, you might want to consider going with the acrylic or wool kilt socks instead.

For last update, I will say that the kilt socks that come in a pair with the ability to tie them off at the ankle are pretty awesome and I highly recommend them. They are also relatively inexpensive, so you shouldn’t have a hard time finding them (especially if you go to a retailer that has many different colors). My final suggestion is to go with either acrylic or wool (the latter being a bit more expensive) and try to find colors that are darker as well so that they won’t show up as brightly against your skin as they do when they are on your leg (because they aren’t designed to be seen in bright lights).
