Japanese Men’s Fashion Trends
There are many different styles of Japanese men’s fashion, each reflecting their own individual personality. The most popular type of men’s clothing is kimono, which is a long-sleeved and elegant fabric, usually worn in summer and worn in public. Although the traditional colour for kimono is dark blue, it is more common to see a light blue or green kimono worn today. This is probably because light blues and greens look more fashionable in the current fashion trends.
Another trend that has been popular in Japan is to wear white shirts instead of a kimono, even in the summer time. It is thought that the white shirt helped to make men more formal, giving them a more “business-like” appearance. Also popular are hosiery, which were worn by both men and women. Hosiery are usually blue or white, with coloured stripes running across them. Although they are no longer the hot fashion choice they once were, they are still quite popular among younger men.
There are also some extremely popular Japanese fashion accessories, especially for younger men. One of the most popular pieces of jewellery, especially for men, is the same wallet, which looks similar to a cross (it looks like a cross no one else knows! ), but with a little more style. Also popular are headbands, which are long thin strands of metal attached to each ear. Although they look simple they are actually very stylish, and many men wear them with a simple or a simple pair of jeans.
