Isabelle Traore, 21, is dead after she was attacked in a public bathroom in the city of Montreal on March 23, 2017. A 15-year-old boy was arrested.

Montreal police said on April 7 that they had arrested a 15-year-old boy on suspicion of murder, but he later retracted himself from the charges.

His name was withheld because of his age.

Traore’s death comes almost exactly three years after 15-year-old Luka Rocco Magnotta killed a Canadian woman while posing for a photograph outside of the Ecole Polytechnique university by strangling her with his own belt.

Magnotta, who had just graduated from grade seven at the time of his arrest, pleaded guilty to first-degree murder in August 2014.

Last month, Magnotta posted a selfie posing next to the body of 19-year-old Canadian woman Leslie Mahaffy.

Mahaffy was murdered in November 2012 while walking down the street in Montreal without her coat or cellphone. It’s not known whether her murder was inspired by Magnotta’s gruesome crimes.

Two more men have already been charged in Magnotta’s infamous murder.
