The Brazilian Height Queen Paola Grosso was raised in Brazil as the daughter of an Italian father and a French mother. Grosso studied at the famed National University of Technology, where she pursued a degree in mathematics before pursuing a career in fashion marketing. After several years as a model in different magazines in her home country, Grosso finally decided to pursue a career in designing clothing for a more upscale market, which resulted in her working with top designers like Gucci. Today, Paola Grosso is one of the most popular stylists in the fashion world, working with famous designers such as Yves Saint Laurent, Christian Dior and many others.
In this interview, we will learn more about Paola Grosso, how she deals with height issues and shares some insight into her unique love affair with fashion. I was excited to hear that she had achieved such great success in her chosen profession, and how she used her love of dance to achieve a successful career. In my opinion, one’s love for dance greatly influences one’s personal sense of style, as dance is such a combination of visual impression and movement. However, there are different opinions on the value of height in regards to style. For some people, height is a very big deal, whereas for other people it is not even close to being important.
When we did the interview, I asked her if she had any sense of humor, and she said, “no.” This brought me to another question that I wanted to ask her, which was what made her love dancing so much. Her answer was that it was the community. She told us that working with high profile clients gave her a feeling of belonging and of being part of something bigger than herself. This sense of community can be seen in the music that she and her friends make, as it bridges the gaps between people of different nationalities and races. We got to know each other very well, and over the years I’ve learned a lot from Paola Grosso, who has become one of my best friends.
