Giulia Anghelescu is a Romanian singer, pop/dance singer and sometimes is performing artist from Romania. She is the lead vocalist for Romanian pop/dance band Dj Project until last year. Since then she has been going solo and has released her first studio album “Romagna” under her own name. She has achieved a lot of media attention in the US and Europe with her music career.
Giulia Anghelescu is from a family of singers, she grew up listening to Romanian folk music, in particular to Romanian composer and song writer Ion Balanica. She has also studied singing and playing the piano from a young age and went on to study classical dancing from Austria and Germany. When it comes to age it does not matter for Giulia Anghelescu she is in an ideal place where people consider her to be a young girl of beauty, and yet at the age of 36 years old and a professional singer and actress, she seems to be able to perform with no real inhibitions.
Born in the Romanian province of Gumanian, Giulia Anghelescu is the youngest of four children. Her parents divorced when she was young and her mother took care of the kids while her father worked all day. They moved to Tirana in the northeastern area of Romania, where her father got a job as a truck driver. Her younger sisters are doctors. Later on her family moved to Bucharest, where she learned English at school, and then at a private school in G Romanian. Later in life Giulia became a pop star with her first and best album called “Romagna”, which won her several Grammies and also became her entry into the Rock Hall of Fame.
