Casey Desmith is a British national, whose real name is Casey Joseph Desmith. He was born in Leicester in England, the son of an English father and a Sicilian mother who later changed her name to Casey Desmith. At the age of sixteen he went to Italy, but returned to stay with his British mother. At the age of twenty-one he decided to enter National Service, which is a British voluntary service which was created during World War II to help Britain fight against the Axis powers.
After the war ended Casey went on to join the British Army as a private, but in 1950 he went back to the United Kingdom to live in London, where he worked in an office. His occupation was IT, but he was known for his short height which led to him being referred to as ‘short Desmith’. In one episode of ‘I’m A Celebrity’ (season six), his appearance was mentioned by Steve McQueen as he stood next to his fellow British star, James King. In one of the episodes, it was said that he has been trying to grow taller by wearing glasses, although he denies this. He did however have a growth spurt in his height, which led to him standing 2.2 inches taller than when he appeared in the series.
He is currently thirty-two years old and has been married to Holly Cutler since December of 2021. He has a son called Louis (born in 1985) and a daughter named Jasmine (born in 1993). According to one of the episodes of ‘I’m A Celebrity’, he was in an argument with his partner in the garden while he was gardening and in that argument he claimed that his wife kept taking pictures of him in a bikini. The argument turned into a physical confrontation, which left him with several broken bones.
