Medicine Hat is an Alberta town in southeast Alberta, Canada, that is popular for its many attractions. It’s located on the South Saskatchewan River, which empties into the Athabaska River. It’s about 160 kilometers west of Calgary and about 295 kilometers southwest of Lethbridge. This town and the adjacent town of Redcliff on the northwest are part of Cypress County. The International Airport is also located nearby. The three-mile stretch of road between the airport and downtown is considered one of the country’s longest continuous driveways.

The community is an attractive one for visitors. The year-round beauty of the area is notable. There are a number of things you can do while you enjoy your stay in this town, and that include enjoying a wide range of winter activities including snowmobiling and cross-country skiing. Throughout the summertime, you can enjoy music festivals, hiking, and biking trails.

In the spring, there’s plenty of garden festivals to enjoy as well. Medicine Hat even has its very own folk festival. There are a number of events and festivals that take place in the town each year, but the main events take place in May when the Royal Wildwoods Competition is held. This competition is won by the largest community in all of Alberta.
