How to Use a Ski Boot Size Chart to Find the Right Size

One of the biggest mistakes that first time parents make when buying a new pair of skis is not taking the time to read through a fashion guide or a ski boot size chart. Unfortunately, many first time parents do not know how to read a chart and they end up buying larger than needed boots because they are “large” or “fashionable”. Here is a simple way to avoid this problem.

The best way to find out what size ski boot size chart you need is to go to a department store (perhaps Kidz) and look at the different skis available. You will see that there is a specific size chart for each specific ski that is best suited for different skiers. For this reason, most parents choose adjustable ski bindings that highly recommend.

For intermediate skiers, you will see that the size chart is split into four categories: small, large, extra large, and junior. For children under 16 years old, junior size boots can be worn, but the larger extra large boots are not recommended. Also, for children who have already started growing, it is best to choose ski boots that fit a little larger than their current size. You should always allow yourself the opportunity to wear the smaller sized boots until your children are able to use the larger size boots.
