How to Cast On For Socks

If you are like me and are a sock fanatic, you might already know how to cast on for socks. I am no stranger to the stretchy cast on my hands and legs. I have done it for years but only recently started to use them for my socks. I am not a newbie to fashion as anyone who has been watching me on TV must know. It is my passion that has compelled me to learn how to stretchy cast on for socks.

Stretching a sock means putting the thumb and two fingers of each hand on a piece of stretchy yarn. The thumb and fingers should be pushed forward towards the middle of the hand so that the fingers slip into the knitted groove. The knitted fabric should be loosely held in one hand and the stretchy material stretched out in the other hand. This knitted area should be pushed upwards by the fingers, with the yarn hanging down slightly below the knitted grip.

Then pull the long tail cast on with the right needle and thread the yarn tightly through the long tail cast on. The final step is to secure the cast on with a rubber band. To finish off the ensemble, a thick rubber bow is added to the headband.
