Smart Cookies are the latest creation of a company in Vancouver, Canada. The company was started as a cookie delivery service in British Columbia with two partners – David B. and Ruth Y. The name for the business is taken from a couple of actual cookies that Ruth baked in the early days of their business. These cookies became a hit with local bakeries and their popularity exploded when Ruth decided to include them in a recipe book and gave them away as gifts. Today, Smart Cookies are available in seven different flavors (caramel, chocolate, peanut butter, orange, vanilla, and strawberry), and have been immortalized on “Happy Cow,” a television show on the Discovery Channel.
Each Smart Cookie contains the ingredient mentioned above, and in varying degrees. They also contain certain compounds that the company believes will enhance a person’s intelligence. Some people may be more advanced than others, and the flavors included in Smart Cookies may stimulate a person’s intellectual abilities, even if they do not possess an actual IQ in the usual sense. The idea behind the advertising is that when you bite into one of these delicious cookies, you will be surprised by the pleasantness and warmth of the flavors, and your brain will work a little harder at a subconscious level to process this input. After you have finished the Smart Cookie, you will hopefully be smarter because of it.
Now consider the question of national origin. When a Smart Cookie is baking, there is no way to tell just by looking at the ingredients whether or not it is from the United States or Canada, unless the maker is very brave and willing to post the ingredients on the label. As a result, there are a number of things that can be done to determine the country of origin for a Smart Cookie. One of these is the height of the ingredient, which can be seen on the back of the package. Another thing to consider is whether the Smart Cookie has been made in the United States or Canada. If so, that Smart Cookie could be considered American, while one made in Canada could be considered Canadian.
