How Long Can You Maintain Your Marriage?

Clare V. is known for the many articles she has written concerning matters both legal and personal. She has written a number of books including the book “Age Differences: How to Be Successful in Your Love Life” and “The National Certificate for Marriage and Family Therapy Practice”. At the age of 51, she became the oldest American woman to be granted a patent. The fact that she is one of the very few to have this title at such a young age is remarkable. Her story is interesting and is an example of how paving the way to success does not always come easily.

Clare began her quest to find out what her exact height was at the time of her marriage by going to her doctor. Unfortunately, he could not find out the official measuring tape height and instead advised her to wear a clinical instrument that would measure her waistline. As a result, she weighed herself in an effort to find out whether or not she was indeed the record holder for her Nationality. While this was not a lie per se, it did not help her determine what her actual height was because she did not fit the standard definition of a woman’s height as determined by physicians and others.

With her search coming to an end, she then decided to try out different styles of dress in order to determine what dress height she would be deemed at in her wedding day. Although these attempts did not bear any fruit, she still held hope that one day her long-lost husband would learn what her real height was and would accept her for who she was – an all American woman. Unfortunately, all the years of post-war years did not help her come to terms with her Nationality or find out her actual age. All she now knows is that she is seventy-one years old and the year she was married was indeed the same year she came to the United States from England.
