Abigail Joy is the Nationality of Canada and presently active in the National Theatre. Abigail is a trained dancer and a member of the National Ballet Theatre in Toronto. She has been studying dancing since she was very young and at the age of fifteen got a scholarship to join the Royal Academy of Dance in London. She completed her dancing course at the age of twenty-two in London. It was there that she decided to pursue a career in dancing and after eight years of studying abroad went back to her home country to become a professional dancer in Toronto.
It was not until she had been twenty-four years of age when Abigail Joy first came in contact with Nationality. At this stage in her career she was studying for her Masters Degree in Education and this was the time in her life where she decided to go out on her own as a dancer and try her hand in the world of theater work. Abigail Joy nationality now lives in New Zealand but currently works as a director, producer, and performer in Toronto. In her spare time Abigail Joy has created her own production called “The National”, which is a musical revue and is part of the Canadian Short Story Festival.
Over the past few years Abigail Joy has fallen in love with the theatre, movies, and TV show business, in fact all aspects of the entertainment industry and she would like to develop into a producer and screenwriter. Her main aim is to develop a relationship with the people behind the different products and she feels very grateful that Nationality is providing her with a platform to help her reach her goal. However, the one common thread in all of Abigail Joy’s work is her own strong sense of nationality. Abigail Joy’s partner in life is a Chinese man called Mark Ling, who happens to be from Hong Kong and now moves permanently in Canada. Abigail Joy provides him with support financially and with moral support which is very important for any artist in the beginning stages of their career.
