At a young age she realized that her height was a factor in getting ahead in life but that it held no discrimination against her. Growing up in New York City meant that she enjoyed dressing nicely and had a penchant for high fashion. It wasn’t until she went to graduate school and began traveling around the country, that she began to realize that her nationality had less to do with her success than her looks. At the time she didn’t understand the concept of fitting in or of being “one of the chosen few” but with her very blonde hair, blue eyes and skin it all came together to make her a very desirable person to be in high society. After going through this experience she decided that she wanted to pursue a career that involved humor. She did get her break when she landed a part on Broadway in Rent.

After that she has been extremely successful in playing characters that are often considered to be smaller characters such as a school teacher, a bus girl, a nanny and more. Her rise to stardom has also included numerous acting credits including appearances on television shows like Supergirl, Arrested Development, The Mentalist and more. While she is seen primarily as an actresses, it is said that her career has been built on more of her comedy roles rather than on her acting. Her looks have more to do with her success than her career in movies. Her greatest thrill may have been in finding a role on Broadway that would allow her to achieve the height of stardom that she has reached.
