Emmy Vogler was born in Depression-era Ohio but moved to Florida when she was just five years old. Her family had emigrated from Czech, after her father died. She attended the University of Miami where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and then went on to become an aerospace engineer with a degree in Civil and Structural Engineering. After that, she worked as an aerospace project consultant for Raytheon.

During this time period, the entertainment industry was in a state of constant flux – everything was changing all the time. When TV shows were first put on the air, they had to be sent through the casting process by the networks. As such, there were many veterans who would apply for every small job that they could find. This created a problem for the newbies – they didn’t know how to land their big break, so they ended up going into small independent film companies instead. One of the shows that Emmy got away with was “That 70s Show” – which has gone on to air in more than 90 episodes.

Eventually, “That 70s Show” was canceled after its third season, which was somewhat of a shame because it was a great spin on an era of popular television that had largely been ignored by the network. But now, with the advent of the Internet, online casting for TV shows has been revolutionized. Now, people all over the country can simply go online, put in a list of what they want to do and then get access to a massive database of open casting auditions that features hundreds of different talents.
