This year there are many fashion trends that are making their way to Hollywood. The fashion industry is going into overdrive at this point and it’s obvious to see why. Every year we have seen more movies and commercials break the stereotype that only slim and attractive women are in the entertainment business. It wasn’t always that way, but now many people are portraying overweight people as beautiful and sexier. That’s not really the case anymore. Trends come and go, but for now let’s talk about some of the hot fashion trends that are making their way to the red carpet this season.
One of the most popular trends that people are really buzzing about right now is the hip-hop look. Everyone from Kanye West to Jay Z has put out their own music with references to clothing lines, makeup, and fashion. For anyone who doesn’t know, hip-hop is basically a loosely-rules-governed form of music where many musicians break the rules in an effort to be more creative and “be” more creative. And many of the most popular fashion trends of today come directly from hip hop, specifically with regard to footwear and clothing.
Another very popular trend this season is the vintage glam look. Fashionistas everywhere are dressing up in dresses and shoes from the 80s and 90s. This trend is all about highlighting the good parts of vintage clothing while playing down the “bad” parts. A great example would be wearing a black and white Versace gown to look cool and sexy in a red pair of Converse sneakers. Though this trend might not seem relevant to many fashion experts, it’s one that looks good on everyone and at the end of the day can be very flattering and easy to maintain.
