Escape From Parks

Escape From Parks (EFP) is a dedicated team of volunteers working to transform a portion of Rideau Street into a world-renowned urban destination for people with disabilities. The team works alongside the City to design and implement a wide range of programming to give people with disabilities equal access to the Rideau Street area.

Escape from Parks is focused on:

Improving access at three levels within the park, to allow persons with disabilities to use it freely and safely.

Providing a safe and inclusive space where people with disabilities may participate in all aspects.

Building confidence that people with people with disabilities with equal access to the Rideau Street area.

The City of Ottawa is a proud partner in the work of EFP. A dedicated team of volunteers worked throughout the summer, to create a series of work zones and programming that can only be found
