Emma Birski has been compared favourably with the likes of Anaesthetician, Dr. Hawass, Physician, Author, Chef and many others. However, in the field of public speaking she is considered a pioneer in her own right. Birski was born in Petrograd, completed a degree in chemistry at the University of London, and then pursued an MBA at Birkbeck College, University of London. During this time, she became known for her controversial speeches. These speeches have led to criticism from conservative groups in Russia who feel that women should not hold high office positions or seek a promotion into higher government posts.
Birski claims that these critics only see her as a woman who talks about being tall for her benefit, while not considering her a Russian. She claims that her nationality is not a factor when it comes to her ambitions of becoming an eminent scientist. Instead, Nationality is a question that is asked by scientists when they are interviewing people to conduct research. According to the British Nationality Law Society, “The person may be a national or non-national as the term is used by the UK law.” However, Emma Birski is not a national of the United Kingdom, as she was born in Ukraine.
The issue of her height is a very sensitive one to Russian supporters of Emma Birski. According to the Russian president, Dmitry Kovalenko, “She’s got big muscles. She’s got a slim waist. Why should we want a woman with such a large chest? Besides, she doesn’t know anything about weight loss.”
