Height Defies Choice

Tiffany Zabludowicz is a name that few people will have heard but who, if they have, will certainly have heard of her. Tiffany Zabludowicz was a famous singer in her younger days with a career which saw her take to the stage and has become one of the most popular female vocalists in the world. Her singing was often considered to be more popular with men than with women and she has always claimed to be open to all people – even gay men. She was, however, forced into a sordid marriage with her boyfriend when she discovered that he was Jewish and, even then, had some difficulty in accepting his chosen profession.

In her early years it was obvious that Zabludowicz was concerned about both her appearance and her career. She tried everything she could think of to improve her looks but it did not seem to help. Her height only came into question when she appeared on stage wearing a short black dress that had been designed for a much shorter person. This, of course, resulted in criticism from the height flattering establishment but did not seem to bother her in the least.

When her public image was being made by her association with the National Symphony Orchestra, her height never once again came into question and many people saw her as a beautiful, immensely talented woman regardless of her height. Many of those who knew her thought that being slightly short might have had something to do with her determination and success. No one ever guessed that a career in opera would bring about its own set of problems and Zabludowicz never gave up hope of changing her status. The end of her musical career saw her travelling to New York where she was to star alongside such eminent figures as John Cage and Count Basie.
