When Angelica Eats was released, it hit the world in a storm of fanfare and excitement. A few months after its release, Angelica the Height ate two Big Macs while sitting down in a restaurant; this happened while she was promoting her new album. In an attempt to hide her embarrassment over her size, she ate the entire McAllister’s Baked Beans while her partner looked on in horror. After refusing to eat the rest of the meal, Angelica Eats took to Twitter to demand help.
The Nationality of Eating is a serious issue for Angelica Eats and I can tell you from personal experience that eating is a major problem when you are working with a partner or are a parent trying to deal with children. Angelica’s problem is not isolated; she has shared that she had a difficult time fitting into her high school class due to being too short. She also shares that the people in her music group were very accepting of her being different. Unfortunately, in her case, nationality is not the problem but an eating disorder and eating disorders affect millions of people each year.
As someone who deals with height issues on a daily basis as a coach, I have seen many people suffer from eating disorders including anorexia, bulimia and binge eating. I have also seen people suffer from physical illness due to their weight as well as mental illness. Being overweight and not being able to accept yourself for what you are can lead to severe emotional and physical disorders. You should not feel bad if you eat too much or if you are eating out of boredom. Eating disorders are very real and they are affecting more people than we realize. Help is available if you speak with someone about what you are dealing with.
