Height and age are the two main determining factors when it comes to getting selected for a beauty academy in Mexico. According to Mexican law, if you are over eighteen and not in full possession of your faculties, you cannot enter the beauty academy as an apprentice. The minimum age requirement is twenty-one years old for students who aspire to be models but these requirements are very much debated by the Mexican government. Some academies do require their trainees to submit their original birth certificates for confirmation, while others will ask for verification of age and then only accept candidates with the original documents.
Height and Age: Height is measured from the top of the shoulders to the waist. Age is considered too subjective because some people can look young even though they are really old, this goes to show that everyone’s body differs. This makes it more important for you to have your height verified by a professional nutritionist before joining any training academy. If you are over two meters then you are considered obese and will have to work out with a special trainer in order to achieve your ideal height. If your height is below what is considered to be the desirable figure of your prospected partner then you will not be considered for a position in the training program.
What to Do With Your Body If you decide to join the profession of model, there are various things you can do with your body to increase your chances of being selected as a model. If you are tall and consider yourself as a good height then you can easily begin a career in fashion photography, photojournalism, advertising or any other profession which caters to the market of commercial or fashion photography. The good thing about the modeling industry is that there are various different categories for different age groups including, teen, normal, plus sized and so on. You can choose one of those to start your career. Adriana Murrieta is an excellent example of a model who started her career at the age of seventeen and has turned out to be an established personality in her chosen profession.
