Giulia Gam is an award winning Brazilian actress. At the age of twenty-one, she became one of the first actresses from Brazil born in the post-Portuguese era. Her early film roles included “Celeste”, “The Bodyguard” and “A Woman in the Window”. After her early success in the film industry, her career began to prosper with such notable roles as in the TV series “When Harry Met Sally”, “Mani para Orinas” and “Children at Play”. She also had an uncountable number of credits in the late nineties, including “Elvira”, “TV: Darkly Dreaming”, “Nights in Pink Satin”, “The Perfect Storm” and “A Fish called Wanda”.

Giulia Gam was born on the twenty-second of December in Sintra, Minho, Brazil. Her official birth record states that she was the daughter of Mario da Silva Pereira, a well-known political activist, publisher and lawyer. According to some sources, she may have been born in Cuba. Regardless of her exact birth date, Giulia Gam’s life has been plagued with issues regarding her nationality. Some sources indicate that she was born in Brazil, but it is unclear as to whether this information is accurate or not.

When she was twenty-two years old, Giulia Gam received an award for Best Actress in a Leading Role from the producers of the film adaptation of the book, Celista. It was during this time that she began to work on various projects in Brazil and in the United States, working largely in Hollywood. However, by the time of her thirties, she was already well known throughout South America and in the United States as a Brazilian actress, singer, dancer and model. As such, her name has become synonymous with quality. She has appeared in a wide variety of films, ranging from the classic to the more modern ones, and as a result, she has managed to create an impressive body of work, particularly in Brasil.
