Fernanda Rodriguez is a famous entrepreneur and an accomplished personality from the National Association of Realtors (NAR). Fernanda is also a well-known personality on television for her appearances on various news shows such as Oprah. Fernanda is a tall (6 feet 7 inches) women who has been married and divorced four times and she currently has four children. The fact that she is a woman of exceptional height is not in doubt even if her personal life is filled with heartache, marital problems, and high-profile lawsuits involving her employer, Hooters, for discriminating against her because of her height (she is 5 feet 10 inches).

Fernanda is a Cuban-American citizen according to the records maintained by the Department of State but was born in Miami. In a letter to the State Department, Fernanda stated that her parents had no papers in Cuba and that she had been born in Florida. It should be noted that Florida is not a state where citizenship by descent is required.

Fernanda’s citizenship status has been continuously questionable since at least 1996, when the US Congress passed HR 3600, which called for an assessment of whether or not an alien could be denied immigration status solely on the basis of their height. The reason this piece of legislation was passed was to eliminate the outdated practice of employers using “racial or nationality quotas” in their hiring practices. Today it is very difficult to find an employment position in the United States that does not demand some sort of skill or education test from applicants. However, one interesting fact about Fernanda Rodriondo’s case is that in 1996, neither she nor her husband had ever applied for citizenship and yet were immediately granted citizenship by the Cuban Government.
