Fernanda Motta is an accomplished Brazilian supermodel, actress, and singer. She has been the host of the popular reality TV show Brazil’s Next Top Model since 2021. Fernanda also served as a contestant on the original season of The X Factor, where she narrowly missed winning her first ever title. She has appeared in other TV shows and movies as well. Fernanda Motta was born in Sintra, Brazil, and is of mixed descent.

Fernanda Motta began working as a fashion assistant when she was just 18 years old. After leaving school, she attended Botox at the Uffizi University in Florence, Italy, for two and a half years. While in Italy, she also started doing fashion and cosmetic work, and soon after moved to New York City to work as an assistant to models like Lindsay Lohan and Christoph Waltz. While in New York, Motta also landed jobs as an assistant to Avy Young and Vanessa Williams, among others.

After a few years working as an assistant, Motta decided to pursue a modeling career, which she did for several years in different agencies and magazines, including CID and Versace. Eventually, it was while doing fashion modeling that she developed a reputation for being extremely tall. While some sources say this is simply because of her height, Motta says that not only does she have a natural height advantage over other women, but she has used this height advantage to her advantage throughout her career. Today, Motta lives in Manhattan, where she is married and the mother of a young son.
