Fernanda Abreu was born in Sete Grande, Mino, Brazil and is half Portuguese and half Brazilian. She was raised in Rio de Janeiro and started to learn the piano when she was young. She attended the Sete Grande College of Art and became a professional singer while she was studying. She began her singing career with support groups such as the Vengers and the Silver Tigers and also with musical acts including the Temptations. As Fernanda grew older she ventured into performing with different ensembles and also managed to get herself noticed in the music scene. When she finally decided to enter the singing competitions organized by the Magaluf Festival in Portugal, she was only twenty-three years old and entered the competition as a contestant alongside such celebrities as Carlos Jobim, Mario da Silva, Jazzy B and Almeida.
Fernanda is represented by the green strands that are often the same color as her hair in the music videos made for both herself and the Temptations. It is interesting to note that both her parents are normal looking but with long brown hair. Her other nationalities are Italian and Spanish and she also has two step sisters. It is also interesting to note that Fernanda’s real name is Fernanda Maria dos Santos, not Fernanda Joana dos Santos. The surname “Abreu” is given to her by her great-grandparents’ which is in fact her birth city.
Fernanda’s real age is not known exactly but she is believed to be in her mid-seventies or possibly older. She married Jose do Couto dos Santos in 2021 and they have two children named Valentin and Luiz. He is tall and stout and looks very imposing in photographs. It is also believed that he might be of Mediterranean decent because both his parents and grandparents were from that nationality. Fernanda’s favorite music is from Portugal and it would include songs such as “Energie” and “Echo Jezebel”.
