If you look back through history, you will find a lot of different fashion trends that have come and gone through the ages. Women were once expected to stay home and sew, this was the only way they could afford to go out and dress; the other options were to go dressed up in a horrible manner. Nowadays women have more freedom to choose what they wear; they can go out and get their clothes off of the racks in department stores and then go home and change them into something nice. The other option is to go to a clothing store and look at all the clothing that is available. Of course if you have a little money you can buy the most expensive designer clothing you want.

One of the major fashion trends through the ages is the use of garments called trench coats. These garments became popular when World War 1 was going on, as there was a lot of fear that a war was going to break out in that region, the trench coat helped to keep people warm and protected. After the war there was less of the need for these clothing items, as people realized that they were quite impractical and did not give the person the warmth that they needed. However, with the changing time and the needs of the modern person, the trench coat is making a comeback and is now being worn by fashion lovers everywhere. As long as the technology stays the same then we are set to see many different clothing items made of the newest materials and styles.
