Fashion Trends From the 80’s & 90’s

Since the 80’s there has been a few fashion trends that have been around for a long time, these are the 80’s style trends, 80’s hip-hop fashion, 80’s rock and roll fashion, and the punk fashion styles. All of these styles have come and gone by the wayside but some have stuck around and one of them is the 80’s fashion trend. This fashion trend was so popular that it actually inspired several other styles of fashion, one of which is street fashion. Since the 80’s fashion trends have brought many individuals to wear clothes that they would otherwise find to be very odd or at least unusual.

For a while there was a fashion trend that said that women should only wear big, bold jewelry with their clothing, this meant that they should do away with the frills and the small baubles and instead go for bold, big jewels in bold colors. Women used to wear bold, shiny fabrics in order to draw attention to their chests, if you remember your school days you know that girls would usually wear frills as part of their fashion trends. As time went on this fashion trend started to fade out of sight, along with the other trends of the time; they were all replaced by more tame looking fashions, however there was still an overall acceptance of this type of fashion. Today it is very popular amongst teens and young adults.

Another fashion trend that has been around for quite some time is the use of baggy jeans. This look is very unique and has been adopted by not only teenagers but also many women who are in their late twenties. These baggy jeans actually started out as denim jeans that were sewn together and so the seams where at an angle so that when the jeans were worn they were actually cut off along with the other fabric in the jean. Today this look is still used but it is being adopted by younger people and even some of the older generations. One reason why it is still being used is the fact that it is comfortable and it is a really good style that is both trendy and comfortable at the same time.
