Fashion Trends And Fads Of The 1970s

One of the more popular trends that never seemed to go away was 1970s fashion trends and fads. This was also one of the most “envy” times for fashion, which is always what it seems to be. Fashions at this time were made for the “show me” generation who was all about glamour and having a great time. In fact, many of these fashions would be considered very “in vogue” today. Many were even created by well-known designers. There were several different trends that came and went from one decade to another, but none seemed to last for long.

The 1970s fashion trends and fads were all about bright, bold colors, as well as fabrics that were more comfortable to wear. At this point in time, people were beginning to really see and appreciate the value of the plastic bag as a viable fashion item. In addition to all of these fads, however, there were also some timeless pieces that just wouldn’t be able to seem to be out of style. These trends and fads, of course, did not last forever, but thankfully, they were brief and did not last longer than several years. Today, people still enjoy wearing pieces from this era of fashion.

One trend that did last, though, was the use of accessories by women. Everyone had jewelry, yet no one could wear it without adding some sort of fashion statement with it. Earrings, bracelets, pins, hair clips and hair ties were all added to the fashion scene and helped to make it a much more trendy and hip place to be. All of these fads came and went, but the ones that lasted are still in fashion today. From this era of fashion, many fashion experts believe that the fashion industry is still moving at a rapid pace.
