In this modern world where the fashion industry has become a major part of every individual’s life, there comes a time when one realizes that the fashion industry is no longer the simple brand of clothes which was launched some time in the past. Instead the fashion industry is now the major force to be reckoned with and is influencing not only the people who buy the clothes but also those who design them and those who sell them as well. With so many different aspects to take into consideration such as taste, gender issues, and age groups, fashion has to constantly evolve itself in order to cater for all these aspects. Fashion is all about keeping up with the latest trends in the market and then adapting them to make them trendier so that they can be worn by more people.
Fashion is influenced by many things from the fashion industry like new styles, celebrities, music, and movies. But the most important thing that influences fashion trends is the consumer itself. The fashion consumer is the person who decides what he or she likes and what he or she doesn’t like. The fashion industry and its consumer are connected closely due to this reason; a person who doesn’t like what they are wearing is likely to get a new one which depicts a different image. If the fashion industry keeps on changing its designs according to the consumer demands then they will have something new for everyone to try out.
One example of how closely fashion trends are tied to the consumer is the case of the Apple iPod. This electronic device which became popular in the late 90s was considered to be very strange and unorthodox at the time; it was revolutionary in its time and its manufacturer, Jobsi, saw that there was a strong market for the product, but he didn’t know exactly how he could alter the design of it to make it more acceptable. After trying several designs, he finally came up with one called the ipod turntable, which had a click-wheel designed to change the songs on the iPods. It was a huge success and changed the way people used their iPods and listened to music. Since then, other similar products have come into the marketplace, each one being designed to change, improve, and even sometimes to make the iPod and its users even happier!
