What we are seeing in London is an actualification of this strategy with a realignment of its commercial priorities, with fashion and accessories taking the forefront in what is being seen as a new ambition by London’s fashion industry.” So, the question at hand is, “And how come no one’s telling me about it?” I’m afraid I may be the only person in the whole wide world that hasn’t heard about it yet?

And the answer is simple, because London is one of the fastest growing cities in the world and most of the professional sport teams won’t be playing any of their matches anywhere in the UK this season, let alone the world cup. The world cup is in the Middle East right now, so why bother going to watch live cricket in London when you can watch it on a pay-per-view basis online from anywhere in the world? You also have to remember that the IPL is also going to come to the UK in the near future and it would be a travesty if the world’s biggest and best cricket club in the world didn’t feature in the tournament. It makes perfect sense then that London could well be the centre of the fashion world in the coming years and it only makes sense that fashion forecasting companies London should start thinking big. If everyone wears a T-Shirt emblazoned with a logo of a London based fashion company, then surely there is a flourishing trade in what the fashion world calls trend forecasting.
