From the time that the first recorded wearing of hats occurred, we have been aware that there are different hat sizes and this has resulted in a lot of people getting into the habit of buying hats according to hat size. This is the trend that seems to be continuing at the moment and it may well be because it is convenient for most people to do so. At least most people are not under any illusion about the fact that they should be buying hats according to their face sizes.
It is not just the fact that you have to be fit to wear hats that needs to be taken into consideration. There is the whole question of comfort that has to be addressed. If the hat looks good on you then that is all that really matters. However, if you have to sit for hours every day wearing a hat that does not sit right or make your hairs stand up in the middle of your forehead, then it may be time to re-think the way you go about purchasing hats.
For instance, you may want to avoid the two-piece hats which can give you a very unfriendly appearance. Instead, you should opt for the three or four-piece designs that look very elegant. If you have medium skin, you will probably do better with the three-piece design which will allow for you to get away with layered looks without looking too show-off. For extremely light skin types, the best bet is the single piece hat which will ensure that you do not appear to be too stuffed into the hat. All in all, the fashion community is aware that there are different hat sizes and you will have to understand that in order to be able to keep up with the current trends in fashion, you have to adapt your style to suit the hat sizes that are being laid out in the market today.
