Eunice Aguilar and her husband, Ricardo Aguilar, were on vacation in Thailand, when they got the message. They were about to leave for another vacation soon to return to the United State when the call came in.

Ricardo described their experience. “It was just a message from an unknown country, and all they said was ‘We want to see each other,'” he said. “And I was like, wait a minute, that’s what I just got. That’s the only time I’ve heard anything like that in a call, and that’s the only time I’ve ever had a call like that.”

Sgt. Kevin McConkie with the Hawaii Interagency Narcotics Joint Task Force revealed that they received the call on Sunday morning. He said some of the information sent is what they currently have on board the aircraft. The aircraft is believed to be a Cessna 172, flying some 400 miles off shore. They also have a few items of interest.

“I think that the last two weeks that the aircraft has been out there, they’ve come back with two items they believe to be of note.” McConkie said. “One is a marijuana cigarette as well as what I would characterize as marijuana paraphernalia.”

The first item of interest is a plastic bag containing marijuana. He said that the bag is about 12-inches in length.

Police say that the second item that is worth watching is what appears to be an empty plastic bag, or something similar that they’re calling “pollen.” He said the item is about 12-inches in length.

“It’s small enough to fit into a pocket, and I can tell you that this thing would smell.” McConkie said. “When they first got it out after they received it in the mail, they couldn’t get it off their finger, it wasn’t moving. So if you were going to get this thing off your finger, it’s not going to be easy.”

The second item is “marijuana”. The bag contains one pot pipe, which is still missing.

The FBI is working with Honolulu Police Department to determine if this case is an isolated incident. In the meantime, authorities ask that if someone sees people using any kind of marijuana or any similar type of paraphernalia, that person call 911 immediately.
