Emma Mcferran was born in Scotland and raised in Australia. She joined Cross Country Radio as a 16-year-old and has now been a respected member of the company for over eight years. After seven years of involvement in the company Emma decided to take a different path in her career by joining an agency. Emma has been successful in many areas of radio including her role as a presenter on Classic FM in Perth, Australia. Emma’s love for music and being on the road have kept her in high demand in the worlds of radio and television.
O NEAL is proud to introduce the talented Australian female FMX racer Emma Mcferran to our sport at the world championship in Italy this June. Emma has won every major crown in the world and continues to be regarded as one of the best female freestyle motocross riders in the world today. Her racing career began in the amateur ranks and she has moved through many divisions and has achieved all of the goals that have been set before her. Emma has won the world’s best rookie division and has also won the world’s bronze while competing in the senior rider division.
Emma’s racing path has spanned borders and nationalities but she has always returned to one country. She has enjoyed a great relationship with the Irish people and followed their successes on the road to victory. Emma’s first taste of national stardom came when she competed in the world’s silver medal at the 1992 Barcelona Olympics. The Irish people supported her throughout her national career and continued to do so even after she had moved to Europe and retired from professional competitive skating. Emma has kept in close contact with the Irish people and wishes them every success in their bid to become world leaders in the sport of freestyle motocross.
