Emma Avital is a Canadian actress and model who was born in Scarborough, Ontario. She was previously married to John Avital, who was the singer with the band The Tragically Hip. Emma was one of four children born to Avital and Patricia Smolley, which are still common in the industry today. Prior to her marriage to John she was dating fellow Canadian rock star Neil Young.
