The latest addition to the cast of “Dancing with the Stars” is Eliana Michaelichen, a dancer who will be making her television debut this coming season. The age difference between the professional dance student and the star has been an ongoing source of friction between her costar, Rachel Hunter. The question that is always in the air is whether or not it will prove to be too much of a challenge for the two of them to overcome – and who do you think would win if they did?
Eliana has used her height to her advantage over the years, as well as her looks on the red carpet. She has been asked to stand very close to Rachel, sometimes as an arm’s length apart, as she performs romantic footwork. Though it is unlikely she will ever be able to surpass Kate Hudson in height, the experience has definitely been invaluable to her in terms of learning what it takes to be a great professional dancer. Rachel is often amazed at Eliana’s ability to maintain grace and poise even in high profile moves – and thus far, the two have not fallen out. As their relationship develops over the next few seasons, it appears that there will be no stopping Eliana in her pursuit of her own dancing career.
Age is not on Eliana’s side though. Though she is an incredibly talented dancer and one of the best in her weight class, she will turn 31 in September, just a couple of months away. If you were to make the same assumption about a fitness model, then you could almost imagine your life ending early. It will be interesting to see how many more milestones Eliana hits during her period on “Dancing with the Stars,” as her career moves forward.
