Elena Gaskell is the perfect example of a woman who has accomplished so much in her chosen profession, yet at the same time, accomplished so much as an individual. Elena is of the Irish descent and was raised in Cork, where her great grandmother was a local artist. Elena’s love of art and design as a child blossomed into a desire to become a professional artist as a young adult. As she progressed in her career she found that she was able to work with many of her peers, but her true calling was in writing.

Elena’s greatest achievements are her many books that have won prizes and been long awaited publications by national and international awardees such as the Manohla Advise Book of World Literature, The Dictionary of Modern Living, The Encyclopaedia of Fashion and The Edinburgh Review. Elena’s books also achieved cult status with her first two books, which were The Cure and Belinda. Her third book, which was entitled The Best Laid Plans was also well received. Elena’s international speaking tours allowed her to visit many countries worldwide. Elena’s work was also appreciated in many countries outside of Ireland including Russia, Japan, Italy and France.

Elena’s loyalty to her native Moldova can be seen in her willingness to speak fluent Russian despite having lived in many European countries throughout her adult years including England, Canada, and the United States. Elena is very proud of her Moldovian nationality, and as a result, she strives to raise funds for the preservation and teaching of this heritage. Her many accomplishments as an author, speaker and actress certainly make Elena a unique person and as we can see from her wide array of roles, she has successfully held many different nationality roles throughout her life. Elena Gaskell is an amazing example of a person who achieved so much through her natural talents, yet managed to achieve even more as an individual with her strong commitment to her Moldovan nationality.
