Elena is an American Nationality. Elena was born in Honduras, but her parents later adopted her and brought her to the United States where she was raised as a U.S. Citizen. Elena’s birth certificate lists her nationality as” Honduran”, but documents found in Elena’s hotel room do not list her nationality. Elena has claimed to be Hispanic or of Dominican descent all throughout her life. Elena and her husband have always claimed that they are American, even though U.S. immigration records do not list Elena’s nationality.
Elena and her husband have always claimed to be of Czech descent, despite the fact that her parents claim to be German. Elena also often changed her name, first using Juanita in the United States, then contracting her maiden name while working in Mexico. Elena has given an alternative spelling of her name, which is apparently meant to evoke the way she used to spell” JP”, similar to how she wrote her name “JP”. Elena’s employer, Bill Patterson, has indicated that he has never met Elena, despite their exchanging e-mails for the last five years.
Elena had a very unusual upbringing. Her biological father was a drug dealer, and Elena was exposed to drugs throughout her early years. Elena claims that her father beat her because of her nationality, however the exact cause of this assault is not known. Elena’s birth mother, Juanita, did support her daughter throughout her life, but Elena’s attitude towards her birth mother is suspicious. There does seem to be a possible relationship between Elena and her birth mother, though there is no concrete evidence.
