Violeta Franco has lived and died in this world. I only hope she has made the most of her birthplace and nationality to make a positive difference in the future. She was born in Scarborough on the Isle of Sky, which is off the west coast of Scotland, according to the Scottish National Heritage Site. She was listed as a minor in her teens and was part of the crew of the RMS Vitafari, a cargo ship that ended up at the bottom of the Atlantic Ocean in 1854. Her death is also listed as drowning while attempting to escape from an overcrowded ship in the Mediterranean Sea.
Violeta was always very tall for her age and this was never an issue, even though at times she tried to hide it. She enjoyed wearing skirts and high heels but never felt comfortable and not at all feminine or interesting. This is why I think she would have been better suited for a men’s magazine. I can say that height does not play a factor in relationships and it is actually not required to get into a serious relationship and to fall in love with a person. The real test of a person’s character comes when they have to sacrifice themselves for a cause or when they have to be strong and faithful to their partner, no matter what their size.
Luckily for Violeta, however, she was already very tall when she met her husband, Richard Alcorn. They were married in 1957. He was only 5 feet, but she believed that he loved her because of her height. Although she is not complaining about her height, she admits that it does bother her sometimes that she has to compensate for her looks by being thinner.
