“How I Met Your Mother” is finally coming back for a second season with guest stars like Gretchen Wilson, Michael Chiklis, and Amy Grant, among others. The first few episodes are already getting rave reviews, and many show a glimpse of what the new season will bring to fans of the 70s fashion trends that made the show so memorable. The first season was about three couples, and one of those couples was involving a young woman who met her father, while he was incarcerated. He died while she was away. She then tries to cope with his death, while also dealing with personal and work related issues in her own family.
One episode that has fans buzzing around is “The Paper Bag Princess,” in which Kate Bosworth plays the title role, and she gets to have some fun as she re-ignites the 70s fashion trends coming back to life. Bosworth plays the mother of two children, having just given birth to a baby boy. Her exuberant personality comes to life as she dresses down the house in a bright orange jumpy bed sheet, and then goes out for a night on the town. Things get messy when she accidentally spills the beans on her ex-boyfriend’s new rug. The episode ends with her trying to patch things up, but things only get worse when her ex returns home to find that the sheets he bought have been marked with “The Paper Bag Princess,” in blood-red ink.
In “Chicks Dig Giggles,” along with Michael Chiklis, Kate Bosworth plays a couple who have an unexpected baby in the middle of their relationship. They have decided not to press charges against their suspect, but things only go south from there. The couple’s small child suddenly appears, wanders into the mall, and begins to attract attention from all over. Will they be able to save their relationship, or ruin it completely? This hilarious clip is yet another glimpse of what was to come in the very popular TV series, Destiny 2.
