Dana Warrior is a martial artist who started training at the age of sixteen, in her native Japan. She trained with the blessing and guidance of her uncle, an instructor who specialized in the art. After graduating from local vocational schools, she went on to train with various professionals, including her mother, grandmother and a former classmate of her mother’s, Kim Tinsmith. She has since been exposed to various styles and now has a well-rounded approach to martial arts. She currently competes in the female division of the UFC, where she is listed as a Strawweight.

As stated by Dana Warrior, she started her martial arts career as an amateur. This was followed by several years training with the Gracie Family in Brazil, where she received extensive training in both Brazilian jiu jitsu and judo. After working with various companies in the States, including the Black Tiger Martial Arts Corporation, she was invited to participate in the TNA wrestling tournament, where she placed fifth. Following her short time in the TNA, she pursued work in the UFC, where she is currently listed as a B-itte Master.

Dana Warrior’s fighting record is relatively short, with just three matches in the UFC. However, she has also fought for the WEC in the past and even did some amateur boxing before that. During her time in the UFC, she has defeated Rene Dupree and Sarah Kaufman, though she was only given a fight against Sarah Kaufman at the time. The win brought her back into the TNA, where she is scheduled to face Lina Lansberg at sometime in the near future. It should be interesting to see what comes of this relationship, as it has been noted in the past that both women have a strong connection with each other, having previously met in training.
