The National Association of Realtors, or NAR, has put out a position advertisement for a Certified Partner in Government (CPPG) in the United States. It reads as follows: “The professional goals of this Partner in Government program are to partner with government agencies to develop and deliver integrated solutions and to assist them in promoting economic growth, social service programs, and public policy.” So if you have been doing public works in your community or locally, Dana Mathews should be proud to be included, as she is one of those accomplished retired people with nationality who are getting the job done today. She is presently a Partner in Government for the National Association of Appraisers with CPA. Before that, she was a Partner at Kroll Associates where she did business management consulting for government clients on a full-time basis. With over twenty-nine years of experience in accounting and business management, she brings a wealth of knowledge and skills to her role as an Appraiser with the National Association of Appraisers.

If Mathews has achieved so much in her public and private life, as well as with her previous venture, CPA, it is not surprising that she continues to do so. She is even involved in another government job through a program called the Senior Appraiser Project (SPAP), which is managed by the U.S. Government in cooperation with the National Association of Appraisers. That is quite a portfolio of experience for a woman of her years of experience in business management and auditing.

Now that Mathews is retired, she is able to pursue her passion for helping other people get started in their own business and also help educate the public about tax preparation and other matters of government assistance. Her role as a member of the board helps her to continue educating people about her profession while she pursues a new stage in her career. As she says, “I love what I’m doing; it’s not a career, it’s my life.”
