Cristina Rayon said she had never been a fan of Donald Trump but became so distressed by the latest debate that she left work early and made her way to the White House lawn, where she found a friend nearby and went inside where she laid down on the lawn.

‘Donald Trump should come and shake our hand, because he could be the one to shake up the White House,’ she told La Jornada.

‘What we have is a president who says he can beat Obama at a boxing match, when he’s not ready. He said he did that to make Hillary cry. I’ve never used that term — he’s a bully.’

‘I just got off the phone with my parents, who were here at the White House, and I just left my friends on the doorstep here,’ said Michelle, 32

Hoping to stop her friend from making her too uncomfortable, Michelle gave the remark: ‘Don’t say that.’

And just like that, her mind was gone: It was too late and all of a sudden she was in shock — no longer in control — and in tears.

She walked across the lawn in the White House before the ambassador had even arrived, and sat next to her grandmother with her face on the floor.

She had had a particularly bad headache, and a local nurse had taken her to see one of his colleagues.

At that moment, however, a woman in a black hoodie walked up to Michelle and asked, ‘Where is that girl?’

‘She said she was a nurse who would be visiting us that day,’ Michelle, whose phone was still in contact with her parents, told La Jornada.
