Compression socks vs sleeves are a heated topic on many people’s body type related forums. I was also one of them, several years ago. My wife had just come home from work and was sitting on the couch with blood oozing out of her toes and heels. She told me it wasn’t a big deal, I should just get some compression socks, I’ll be fine.
Fast forward a few months and she is in pain all the time and the doctor says I should have a heart surgery and she can’t do it anymore. She is also bleeding in her legs, so she is asking me which is better, compression socks vs sleeves or surgery? Well, I went to read online and found that both are very effective at keeping you in shape. I will admit I prefer compression socks. They keep my skin and my blood flowing much better.
When I first got hurt my trainer suggested I switch to compression socks but I wasn’t sure how to make that transition. After talking to my doctor he said that I should give compression socks a try because they seem to help with everything from shin splints to circulation problems to pain. Now that I’m injury free I have switched back to compression sleeves. They help me stay in great shape throughout the year!
