Born in Greece, Xenia Rubinos was named after her father, who was originally from Athens. During her early years in boarding school, she began specializing in chamber music, eventually becoming an acclaimed viola player. Rubinos has since worked as a performer, composer and teacher. Her latest album, was inspired by her own Nationality: Greek. She describes herself as a “passionate lover of music and all those that enjoy it.”

Xenia Rubinos was born in Greece but became a citizen of the United States in 1970. While still a student, she fell in love with an Egyptian man. Although he had come to the United States legally, at some point during their courtship, he returned to Greece. Upon his return to Greece, Rubinos stayed behind and worked in a printing shop while attending college. She met her husband when she graduated, which helped her to secure her position as a piano instructor.

After several years of marriage, Rubinos decided to leave her husband and pursue her musical career once again, traveling to her first country, England. There she performed with such artists as Ian Anderson and John Entwistle. However, while living in England, she fell in love with and married a Greek musician, Giorgio Armani. The couple lived in Italy for the next five years before moving to New York City, where they adopted four boys and two girls and opened a piano studio.
