Claire Hahn is the creator of the Nationality Project, an online dating site for international couples. Claire is thirty-three years old and lives in San Francisco, California. She has been in a committed relationship for five years and has traveled extensively to fulfill her Nationality goals. Claire was quite candid in her early days of dating, “Dating seemed like fun until I found out I wasn’t German.” Claire is an avid traveler and champion skydiving enthusiast who look at Nationality from a romantic perspective: “When you’re with someone who belongs to a different nation, you have an interest in culture, history, cuisine, artwork and language.”
Claire’s first major goal in terms of dating was a job in the publishing world, but she quickly decided that a more domestic role was more appealing. Her new-found interest in Nationality has blossomed into a strong career as a writer whose work can be found in the Journal of International Business, Global Dating Guide, eBooks, and even a book on how to find your perfect match. Her personal motto for her career is “ersion dating”; “ersion dating means dating someone who has absolutely no interest in you as a person.”
Claire has enjoyed the freedom dating provides, meeting many new interesting people, traveling, and most importantly, finding herself with a loyal partner who shares her interests and desires. Claire chose Nationality because she likes the way it has changed her life since she met her partner, “I never once considered myself too Oriental or not fully global.” Claire felt that choosing Nationality was the best choice she ever made regarding her dating life.
